Education

photo : young girlThe Museum’s extensive galleries provide the perfect learning environment for students of all ages.

The collection illustrates the evolution and social history of road transport and supports many curriculum areas including History, Citizenship, Maths, Art, Design & Technology, Literacy and English. The Museum also offers sessions to support students studying Leisure and Tourism. Our Lifelong Learning Officer is able to support learning activities at all levels, ages and abilities.

Hands-on sessions and other collections based activities can support your visit (from £1 per child). Please contact us for an Education Pack or to discuss your particular needs. We are always happy to tailor something especially to you.

Visiting Us

We welcome school groups on self guided visits but would prefer schools to pre-book so we are aware of your group size and requirements.

If schools would like to take advantage of the activities or other resources these must be pre-booked. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Teachers are highly recommended to make a pre-visit to the Museum before they bring a party. This can be done free of charge, during normal Museum opening hours.
