Join us for an action-packed summer holiday in our brand new family activity space and explore how machines transform force into movement, taking inspiration from our collections and fantastic new museum exhibitions.

 

 

 

 

MiC LAB £1.50

Monday 27 July – Saturday 29 August 
10.30am –12.30pm & 1.30pm – 4.00pm 

We are very excited to introduce you to our summer family MiC LAB. MiC stands for Made in Coventry, and in our brand new activity space we will be exploring how machines transform force into movement, taking inspiration from our collections and fantastic new museum exhibitions. Join us and have fun creating crafts that demonstrate cams, levers, gears and pulley systems.

MiC LAB is drop in, and open Monday – Saturday. You may be asked to wait if the activity space is full at the time of your visit. Children of any age are welcome to MiC LAB, but activities are particularly suitable for age 4+. Entrance for under 2s is free. 

Artist days at MiC LAB with Barbara Jones £3
Monday 3, Tuesday 11, Wednesday 19 & Thursday 27 August
10.30am –12.30pm & 1.30pm – 4.00pm 

Join Early Years expert and artist Barbara Jones for a creative exploration of the machines of our everyday lives. We will bring our Victorian cycles into the LAB so you can be inspired by them and create your own amazing invention! 
These are drop in workshops. Children of any age are welcome, but activities are particularly suitable for age 4+. Entrance for under 2s is free.

Explore our new exhibitions as you search for clues to complete this fun activity trail. 
Ask at Reception.

Costumed Coventry FREE
Saturday 25 July – Monday 31 August 
Ask upon arrival for the next session 
Meet our costumed characters who will bring Coventry transport history to life. There will be dressing up photo opportunities as well as the chance to handle real museum objects. 
Look out for our costumed Cycle Pioneer characters, who will be showing their own inventions for Victorian cycles in our new galleries.
