BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Coventry on the Buses - Sunday 30th March UID:12 DESCRIPTION:If you love buses, then don't miss Sunday 30th March on Millennium Place.\n\nIt's the Coventry Corporation Transport Society's Motor Bus Centenary Day celebrating exactly 100 years to the day of the first motorised bus service in Coventry by Coventry Corporation, as it was then.\n\nThe fun starts at 10am, with free bus rides on classic buses and a wonderful selection of static buses on parade on Millennium Place till 4pm.\n\nThe Lord Mayor will be the VIP Special Guest arriving at 1.30pm to give a speech and to hand out commemorative certificates, after which he will take a bus ride from Millennium Place to Earl St. in the centre of Coventry which was the first route on the first motorised bus in Coventry back in 1914.\n\nWe've had notice as of today - Thursday 27th March, that veteran actor - Stephen Lewis, 'Blakey' from 'On the Buses' will not be able to join the day due to a bout of Flu'. We wish him well for a speedy recovery.\n\nThere'll be a total of 15 buses taking part in the celebrations on the day, this is a mix of running buses and statics on Millennium Place.\n\nThere'll also be opportunities to dress up as a bus driver or a bus conductor, with stalls, displays and demostrations right through the day.\n\nIt's a must for bus fans young and nearly as young.\n\nFor more information, you can call Clint Hancox on 07766 668585 or click on www.cct-society.org.uk\n\n \n\n \n\nPlease note that this display is being arranged by the Club themselves, and the Museum is not responsible for the content or any changes to the programme.\n\n DTSTART:20140330T000000Z DTEND:20140330T000000Z END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
