BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:MUSEUM CLOSED UID:49 DESCRIPTION:As part of Coventry Transport Museum's £8.5m Redevelopment project, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, ERDF, Biffa Award and the Garfield Weston Foundation, the museum will be closed to the public for two weeks from Monday 3rd to Sunday 16th November 2014.\n\nThis project, which started in March 2014 and is due for completion in April 2015, is transforming and re-energising the museum, enabling us to tell the story of our City's proud motoring heritage in a world-class, innovative new way.\n\nThe museum is open throughout the majority of the Redevelopment period, although understandably, some areas of the building will be closed to the public whilst they are being worked on, and there will be a small number of complete closures, of which this is the first.  \n\nWe are working hard to keep these closures to a minimum, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.  \n\nFind out more about our ambitious Redevelopment project.\n\nWhen we re-open on Monday 17th November, you'll be able to explore the first of our NEW Zones to be completed - the 1900 to 1914 Zone, entitled "A New Motor Industry".  We can't wait for you to see it!\n\nWhile we are closed, we recommend:* Our coffee shop Esquires will remain OPEN throughout this period, serving up their usual delicious range of hot and cold drinks, cakes and sandwiches.\n\n* Pay a visit to the nearby Herbert Art Gallery & Museum - admission is FREE and the museum tells the fascinating story of Coventry's history, from Medieval times to the present day.  The museum is also home to a world-class art collection, and during November the Herbert has two special temporary exhibitions: The Great War: Coventry's Story and People of India: Photographs by Jason Scott Tilley.\n\n* Explore the excavated remains of Coventry's first Cathedral and walks in the footsteps of Lady Godiva, at the Priory Visitor Centre.  Just two minutes' walk from Coventry Transport Museum, admission is FREE, with guided tours of the excavations priced at just £2.50 per person.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n DTSTART:20141103T000000Z DTEND:20141116T000000Z END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
