Blitz Experience Gallery

The Coventry Blitz

The popular 'Blitz Experience' forms part of the Landmarques Gallery. It sensitively and emotively recreates the bombing raid on Coventry on 14 November 1940.

Coventry's factories were very important to the war effort and because of this it suffered many air raids, the major ones being in November 1940 and April 1941. Not only were factories and houses damaged, but also on 14 November 1940, the Cathedral was almost destroyed.

For more information on the Blitz see Charlotte's Story.
