Boomtime Boomtown: Coventry in the 1950s, '60s & '70s
Refurbished
in 2006, the Boomtime Boomtown Gallery explores the excitement and
confidence of a City at work. In the 1950s and 1960s the motor industry
in Coventry was booming and it was a very exciting place to work. This
Gallery also tracks the decline of the industry into the 1970s, as
larger foreign manufacturers began to sell more cars in Britain and the
‘Boomtime’ was coming to an end.
