Coventry Transport Museum makes the perfect learning environment for school or family visits.

Current Project - Women’s transport history research project

We have recruited a team of volunteers to go through our archive collections and identify the contributions that women have made to the transport industry. They have spent many hours looking through recorded interviews, photographs, company magazines and newspapers. The team are doing a great job of highlighting women’s vital contribution and recording new oral histories to add to our collections.

The project has helped to uncover fascinating stories and information that are being featured in our new galleries. The volunteers are also working on a resource guide for anyone wanting to research women’s contribution to the transport industry in Coventry. We are also planning events and displays based on the material we are discovering, so keep a look out for them on our website.
