Coventry Transport Museum makes the perfect learning environment for school or family visits.

Past Project - Multisensory Memories

The Workdays and Holidays exhibition is all about larger-than-life vehicles and the people who have used them at work and play.

Three local community groups took part in artist-led workshops to explore the exhibition themes. These included camping, summer holidays, bus and coach travel and many more. By the end of the workshops, the groups had made some fantastic artworks and their memories had inspired many ideas for sounds, smells and things to touch in the exhibition.

These items can be found on activity stations in each themed space in the exhibition. There, you’ll discover accessible, multisensory items to smell, touch and listen to. These displays provide a great experience for families as well as for visitors with disabilities.
