It was Campers Christmas on the 20th November

28 November 2011

We had a fantastic day on Sunday 20th November, for our first ever Campers Christmas event.

As part of the Coventry Christmas Lights Switch On, we invited the owners of camper vans and motor homes to 'bling their bus' with christmas lights and festive cheer, and they really took up the challenge to produce some gorgeous light displays both around and inside their vehicles.

Owners worked on dressing their vehicles throughout the afternoon, whilst we showed The Muppets Christmas Carol on the BBC Big Screen outside the Museum, and enjoyed music from the fabulous Dayspring Steel Band.

We were also pleased to welcome Mother Goose and Archie Goose from the Belgrade Theatre's pantomime, who did a great job at judging the 'best in show' and 'campest camper' competition.

Overall, a fantastic day was had by all - see some photographs of the Campers Christmas event here, as well as video highlights below.  This was all in celebration of our surf vehicles exhibition Wheels & Waves, which runs right through the Winter.
