Gary Hall - Midlands Business Person Of The Year!

04 February 2012

Coventry Transport Museum Chief Executive Gary Hall was last night named as Midlands Business Person Of The Year for 2012, at the glittering Midlands Business Awards ceremony held at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole Hotel.

Under Gary’s five-year leadership,we have enjoyed record visitor numbers, a new cafe and retail experience, a thriving programme of temporary exhibitions, and a vibrant and profitable conferencing business.

The judges were impressed with details of Gary’s achievements, which also include reducing operating costs, empowering and motivating staff to take part in strategic planning throughout the whole organisation, and above all securing Coventry Transport Museum’s position as one of the leading visitor attractions in the Midlands.

Gary Hall said of the award:

“To be named Midlands Business Person of the Year 2012 is of course a wonderful accolade – but I am genuinely accepting it on behalf of the team I have around me.  Without the passionate dedication of every one of the staff at Coventry Transport Museum, none of what we are achieving together would be possible.  We have big plans for the future, that we are confident will see the Museum cement its place as one of the best and most innovative attractions in the Midlands for years to come. Watch this space!”
