Museum Tours

All tours are £2 and include a ride on the Thrust SSC simulator ride

This informal tour gives visitors a broad introduction to Coventry Transport Museum. Visitors will hear the story of road transport history in Coventry and discover more about some of the highlights in our collection from the oldest car; a 1897 Daimler Horseless carriage to the World Land Speed record holding Thrust SSC
The tours are designed for those with limited visiting time or to be enjoyed before exploring the whole museum at your own pace
Tours last approximately 1 hour
Tours must be booked in advance
Maximum of 12 people per group
£2 per person – Including a ride on Thrust SSC simulator

This multi sensory tour is designed for, but not limited to visitor’s who are blind or partially sighted. The tours are suitable for people of all ages who have learning difficulties or special educational needs who would benefit from a more hands on experience!
Each visitor will receive a tactile tour bag to use for the duration of the tour which contains a pair of conservation gloves to enable some touching of selected vehicles and objects, a torch, a magnifying glass and a photo guide
Remember to bring your camera as there will be plenty of opportunities to take photographs around the museum with optional fancy dress!
