Heritage Open Day: Old Grammar School
The Old Grammar School is a 12th century hospital and chapel which following the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century became Coventry’s first free school.
The building has recently undergone major renovation work and is now open to the public on special occasions again after many years closed up.
The restoration of the building took place as part of the £9.5 million Coventry Transport Museum redevelopment project.
Heritage Activity:
Opportunity to view the building which still incorporates many of its original features.
