What's On

From family STEAM learning to interactive exhibitions. There's something for everyone.

Family Saturdays: This makes That with These | Iron People

These events are cancelled due to COVID-19.

Join us every first Saturday of the month and explore a new topic in this workshop.

Taking inspiration from Ted Hughes ‘The Iron Woman’ explore the questions: What are objects made of and where does the material come from? What possible effects do broken objects have on our environment? Deconstruct objects and reassemble different parts using the technique of soldering. Then, have a go at creating your own ‘iron-people’ to take home.

Designed for age 7+

Book online in advance | £8 per child plus one adult

Please note, children must always be accompanied by an adult.

Participants are collected from reception

We reserve the right to change or cancel events or exhibitions without prior notice. Please visit our website before your visit.
