Presentation of a second RBL Standard

07 November 2013

On Friday 25th October we hosted the presentation of a second Royal British Legion Standard from the former Dunlop Factory, Rim & Wheel Shop - Branch No. 11.

Joining us for the presentation were Standard Bearers from the RBL along with Cllr. Hazel Noonan - Deputy Lord Mayor of Coventry.

Royal British Legion Standards are flown on the battlefields of conflicts throught the British Empire and represent the ideal of service from all sections of the British Armed Forces to God, the Queen and Country.

The two Standards are on display in our Boomtown Gallery above the collection of working Coventry built engines that you can start up to listen to how they sound.

We wish you a peaceful and reflectful Remembrance Sunday on the 10th November and don't forget the 2 minute silence on Monday 11th November at 11am.
