Join us for a full day of activities at both the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Coventry Transport museum for workshops and experiences that help support in commemorating the lives of those lost during the Second World War and the anniversary of the Coventry Blitz.
Activities are drop in and suitable for all unless otherwise stated

Craft a Gas Mask
10.30am - 4.00pm
£1 per child
Everyone was issued with gas masks in case poison gas was dropped from aeroplanes during air raids. A war time essential, cut out and create your own wartime gas mask to wear.
At Home- Coventry at War

Learn more about the role Coventry played in the effort to win the war through it's manufacturing industry. A short tour of the exhibitions discover the significance of Coventry to the war effort and the changes to the lives of the Coventry people.

Join our curators to discover and handle real objects from the 1940’s that would have been used during the war. From incendury bombs, to gas masks to ration books, see the day to day objects that war time life involved.
