Learn about engineering and problem-solving in our interactive play sessions for the whole family

Designed for families to enjoy together, our Saturday Play Days invite you to explore engineering and creative problem-solving in a relaxed, open-ended play environment. Led by our expert Learning team, these interactive sessions encourage STEM-based learning through a range of unique resources that differ every month, with themed sessions inspired by our museum collections.
Not sure what STEM is? Don’t worry, you don’t really need to know what it is to enjoy and embrace these activities. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, which might sound complicated, but STEM-based play is important for early years learning, too! Exposure to any play that encourages children to figure things out, discover how things work and be creative can support STEM learning, and by attending these sessions, you'll soon realise that it's all around us, all the time.
