Aimed at older adults

Discover the nostalgia and festive feels of Coventry’s famous Vintage Sleigh Ride. Experience the original sleigh ride from Coventry’s Co-Operative store, now cared for by Coventry Transport Museum, visitors will take a ride on the sleigh, have a photo with Father Christmas, followed by a Christmas collections reminiscence session and finished with a social Christmas 2 course lunch.

What to Expect on the Day:

10.30am
Arrive at the museum and be welcomed by our Visitor Experience Team

10.45am – 11.10am
Visit our Winter Wonderland space, take a short ride on the Vintage Sleigh and say hello to Father Christmas for the perfect, festive photo opportunity.

11.10am – 11.30am
Refreshments and comfort break.

11.30am – 12.30pm
Christmas Collections reminiscence session – Discover objects from the museums collections, in the hands-on experience that will invoke memories of Christmas traditions and stories.

12.30pm – 2pm
Enjoy a 2-course Christmas lunch with all the trimming. Vegetarian and Vegan options are available, followed by Christmas pudding/mince pie, along with tea and coffee.
