Coventry Transport Museum approved by Westminster

11 February 2011

The Government's Equalities Office - GEO for short, recently chose Coventry Transport Museum as the venue for it's latest meeting focusing on good practice around procurement and equalities. The group of ten, mainly from Government departments dicussed a variety of Policies including the Big Society.

The decision to come to Coventry Transport Museum was taken because of the central location and excellent facilities at the Museum.

Chief Executive of Coventry City Council - Martin Reeves said, "I am pleased that the GEO held their meeting in Coventry and were able to see at first hand the benefits of using Coventry as a great place to do private and public sector business, as well as underlining the procurement opportunities in the area".

It's a great achievement for Coventry Transport Museum, we have so much more to offer in addition to our world famous collection of British Road Transport.
