Join us as we introduce … like a short cut through the brambles During this event we will announce the themes, artist list, venues and key partners for the 4th Coventry Biennial which will be taking place across Coventry and Warwickshire from 6 October 2023. This event, in the iconic Coventry Cathedral will include the most comprehensive set of announcements around our upcoming programme yet, as well as providing an opportunity to meet and hear from some of the artists that we’re working with towards Coventry Biennial 2023. We’ll additionally be using the occasion to unveil and share a number of significant creative projects that have been produced during our recent, developmental activities providing a small taste of what’s to come later this year. Please note: Guests are asked to use the Chapter House entrance on Priory Street. This event is generously funded by Arts Council England, Coventry City Council, University of Warwick and Coventry University.

As soon as it was opened in 1962, Coventry Cathedral became a major tourist attraction, welcoming thousands of visitors each year. Tourists and pilgrims come from all over the world to experience this extraordinary building and to share something of the quest for peace and reconciliation embodied by the dramatic contrast of the Ruins and the New Cathedral.
