Celebrate the first ever drive of the world’s most advanced straight-line racing car – the Bloodhound SSC – this October. 

Monday 23
Mechanic Limbs
Make a robotic arm and see it move. An activity using cardboard, straws, string to make a life-size robotic arm that moves.

Tuesday 24
Electrifying Images 
Create electrifying images on your car with scratch art using crayons.

Wednesday 25
Skeleton Rides
Using wire and pipe cleaners we are preparing for the Land Speed record trial of Bloodhound by making our own racing car models.

Thursday 26
Roaring Racers 
Make your own fast cars from recyclable material. 

Friday 27
Race Tracks
Using paper plates and origami techniques we are making a moving race track.

Saturday 28
Horrible Hounds
Who doesn’t like to break the rules and make a lot of noise in a museum? We are making a very noisy car that looks and can even sound like a horrible hound!

Home of Earth's fastest car

Coventry Transport Museum is home to the world's two fastest cars.

When you visit the Museum, not only can you marvel at these spectacular feats of British engineering, you can experience travelling through the sound barrier on our all new 4D Land Speed Record Simulator!
