Find out what's happening at Coventry Transport Museum during the summer holidays
From open play sessions for under 5s to STEM-based workshops for 11-16s, there's lots to keep kids of all ages busy at Coventry Transport Museum during the school holidays this year. Find out more about what's coming up below!

Explore our galleries through open-ended play in these relaxed sessions aimed at pre-school children. Guided by our expert learning staff, each session draws on themes and objects within our collections, making use of unique resources designed to encourage early engineering skills, problem-solving and imagination.

Explore the museum through play at your family's own pace through with our Mini Explorer Trail and Play Boxes. Free to loan from our reception desk, each includes a set of carefully developed activities for your little ones, including playing with shapes, finding vehicles and spotting numbers and letters.

Get hands on with real tools in these family-friendly workshops, where you can create your own museum playground. Use real tools to build carts, dens and electronics while exploring wheels and coding. Each ticket provides entry for a family of up to five people.

From animation and computer programming to city planning and sustainable design, these interactive workshops will give kids aged 11-16 an opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and maths in exciting new ways. All participating children will receive lunch from our museum café, Esquires. A number of free places are available via Coventry City Council's HAF programme.
Find out more about our galleries and collections in our weekly guided tours, focusing on a different theme each week. All tours are drop in and entry is included in normal museum admission.

What if children could have a say in planning what our cities look like? How would we move, live and play? These drop-in sessions invite families to come together and show us what their dream city would look like. Have a go at working on transport, building a playground, shaping an ever-growing cityscape. Entry is included in normal museum admission.
